1. What are Invisalign aligners?
They are removable orthodontic systems, made of a high-strength thermoplastic polymer, custom-designed to fit each patient's dental anatomy. Unlike fixed appliances, they have no visible metal elements or wires.
2. How long does the treatment take?
The duration varies depending on the complexity of the case: it ranges from 6 months to 1 year. The exact time is defined after the initial study and the design of the personalized treatment plan.
3. Which cases are they indicated for?
They are indicated to correct crowding, gaps between teeth, bite alterations and mild to moderate dental misalignments. In highly complex cases, the specialist will evaluate the most suitable solution.
4. How is the treatment carried out?
Series of successive aligners are used: each set is worn for about 7 days. They must be worn a minimum of 20 to 22 hours a day to guarantee the results.
5. Do they require professional supervision?
Yes. The treatment must be planned and monitored by an orthodontist, with periodic check-ups to verify progress, adjust indications and confirm that the expected goals are being achieved.
